Books of Interest

In a strange synchronicity I read Koestler's Darkness At Noon, while most of my friends and my wife and I were banned. The books deals with the show trials under Stalin, though he is not mentioned anywhere in the novel.

The book is so interesting, because it shows the social dynamics that can be prevalent in any group.

I strongly recommend reading the novel.

A great book and fun to read, too. Imagine the setting of Galt's gulch with scientists. Then something unexpected happens... All of Stephenson's books are well written and one wishes they would never end.

A Science fiction novel by the great author Spinrad. A nice plot plus a very accurate treatise on epistemology. One of the proofs why anarchism will prevail.

Often overlooked. Deeper than 1984 and way better than Brave New World. Served as a model for Ayn Rand. Frightening in its accuracy.

And so my "to read" list swells.  ::)
I'm reading The Road to Surfdom by Hayek at the moment and so far it's very good. There is some annoying minarchist stuff therein but I can overlook that.
